The Thomasville Autism Center was developed to help meet the needs of children and families living with Autism Spectrum Disorders. From Autism specific testing (including the ADOS) to parent orientation for families with newly diagnosed Autism Spectrum Disorders, adn ongoing parent training, the center provides a variety of support and social skills groups designed to create the most effective and comprehensive treatment possible.
PARENT SUPPORT GROUP
Our new Parent Orientation Group is scheduled for August 21, 2021 from 9-10am. There will be a guest speaker and parents will be provided with resource information, light refreshments, and a time for Q & A. Please call our office to register. We ask that you wear a mask if you are not fully vaccinated.
For regular support groups, when we are able to safely meet again, a parent support group will be held on the third Monday of the month at 6:30 pm. Free childcare is available with a reservation.
FAMILY FUN ACTIVITY
Due to COVID-19 restrictions some activities are being put on hold. Typically a family fun activity takes place once a month, to be announced at the parent support group.
SOCIAL SKILLS FRIENDSHIP GROUP
Programs include an after school Social Skills Friendship Group for current clients. Please talk to your provider for more information.
